John Hagan

Richard Harrington
(Vavak, Guardian Angel) Richard has performed in and written many plays and short films in San Francisco and New York. Since 1998 he has toured around the world (mostly Canada) with Chris Kauffman in the clown shows Motel California and Nharcolepsy, including a gig in 1999 at Mezi Ploty, a music/theater festival that took place on the grounds of a mental hospital on the outskirts of Prague. He learned some Czech there, but sadly he's forgotten it.

Noemy Hernandez
(Dancing Girl No. 3, An Evening With Family) is from Burbank, CA and loving her first year on the East coast. She received her B.F.A. in Dance with a minor in Theater from the University of California, Irvine. Aole T. Miller

He is the first African American Ceremonial Mask Dancer of Bali. Coached Michelle Williams for her Academy Award nominated performance in Ang Lee's Brokeback Mountain, directed Voices of Juarez (FringeNYC 2004), and will direct a modern Antigone. Protégé of the Lynne Thigpen/Bobo Lewis Foundation.

(Deputy, Temptation) Roger is thrilled to be part of the Havel Festival. He has been in several shows at The Brick all directed by Ian W. Jon Okabayashi
(Second Chap, Largo Desolato) Jon was last seen this at the Ontological Hysteric Theatre this past summer performing multiple roles in Under the Sign of the Hourglass. Other NY credits include: Smirnoff in The Bear, Dante in Dante's Inferno, Claudio in Much Ado About Nothing, Sebastion in Twelfth Night, and The Alguazil in The Wonder! He has been seen on Saturday Night Live, Law & Order, CSI/NY and The Sopranos.

Meret Oppenheim
(Edna Hummel, The Increased Difficulty of Concentration) trained at the Atlantic Theater Professional Acting School for two years, following a career as a writer and video producer. Favorite New York credits include Mrs. Pascal in House of Yes and Barbara, radio psychologist, in The Cottage, and the First Lady in Romancing the Terrorist. Independent film credits include The Christmas Party (festival awards) and Lily (lead) in Still(e).

David Ott*
(Beck, Increased Difficulty of Concentration) This is David’s Manhattan stage debut. To him it is not what he has done but who he works with that remains in his memory. Ken Loach and Pina Bausch are now complimented by this participation in the Vaclav Havel Festival. On a personal note David has just learnt of his birth families’ roots in Italy and Czechoslovakia.

Matthew Park

Andy Paris*
(Vanek, Protest) happily returns to the Ohio after recently appearing in Ripe Time’s Bethrothed as part of Ice Factory ‘06, as well as The Talking Band’s The Necklace. Other credits include The Laramie Project (dir. Moises Kaufman), Gross Indecency (dir. Mr. Kaufman), Twelfth Night (dir. John Rando), Proof (Playmaker’s Rep.). As a director, Andy is currently developing an adaptation of the novel, The Fanmaker’s Inquisition, for the stage.

Mike Price
(Vanêk, Unveiling) is Technical Director/Facilities Manager for Waldron Arts Center in Bloomington, Indiana. He studied improv at Second City Chicago and has worked with Bloomington Playwrights Project, Bloomington Early Music Festival, Detour Theater, Indiana Shakespeare Company, Shawnee Summer Theatre. Acted in the English/American Theater Festival in Stuttgart, Germany. Directed a video production of Beckett plays for Indiana University. Favorite roles include Sganarelle (The Flying Doctor), Eddie (Hurly Burly), Willie (Happy Days), Grumio (Taming of the Shrew), Siegfried/Alberich (Das Barbeque).

Amy Quint
(Renata, The Increased Difficulty of Concentration) Amy Quint is delighted to be part of the Havel Festival. She trained at the Stella Adler studio and is an alumna of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Iracel Rivero
(Alena, An Evening With Family) was most recently seen as the “slightly unhinged” Miss Prism in The Kung Fu Importance of Being Earnest at The Brick’s $ell Out Festival. She is also a frequent collaborator with Mud-luscious Productions. Their short film “Girl and a Gun #8” was screened at the inaugural Falling Short Showcase downtown. Ms. Rivero previously worked as a costume designer on several productions including: Memoirs of My Nervous Illness (The Brick), Prophet (P.S.122), Irrationals (ATA), The Snow Queen (Looking Glass Theater), The Pragmatists (The Brick), All Is Almost Still (78th Street Theater Lab), the William Faulkner adaptation In a Strange Room (The Brick), Tinklepack Patrol ... (HERE).

Timothy McCown Reynolds*
(Fistula, Temptation) Timothy is an actor and playwright who has appeared in plays in NYC and across the USA and world. He is a member of Inverse Theater, with whom he has acted in numerous shows, including Syndrome (part of UTC61's NeuroFest in January, 2006). Timothy last appeared in his own play, Le Lycanthrope, for loup garou international. All Love and Work dedicated to the Emperor Maximillian, Fast Eddie, and the Lorelei of the Mississippi.

R. David Robinson*
(Tetz, Mountain Hotel) Roles include Keith in Cocooning, part of Unresolved: six one-acts on grief recovery after 9/11 (Open Gate); Vanek in Havel’s Vanek Plays (i-589 Theatre); a fascistic cardinal, mad Japanese scientist and sleet fish in God’s Country (Nada); a crippled Touretter in Miss Lonelyhearts (29th Street Repertory); and Dog, part of the infamous Box Plays (INTAR, Public Theatre). As comic foil to magician David Copperfield, he garnered praise from Gene Kelly.

Andrew Rothkin
(Gross, The Memo) Andrew most recently played David in The Wastes of Time (MITF) and Clarence/Richmond in Richard III (Looking Glass Forum). Other favorite roles include Andrei in The Three Sisters (La MaMa, E.T.C.), Arthur in Psychodrama (White Rabbit Theatre), Jack in Jack, or the Submission (Ionesco Festival) and Micki/Michael in Michael Doesn't Live Here Anymore (Spotlight On Productions). Andrew is also a playwright, director and teacher, and serves as Artistic Director of White Rabbit Theatre.

Steve Russo
(Downsizing Executive 1, The Garden Party) Steve Russo studied acting at Rutgers University and received a Masters of Fine Arts from Florida Atlantic University. He is very happy to be a part of this festival.

Erik Kever Ryle
(Leopold, Largo Desolato) Recent credits: All That Fall, Trailerville, A Beautiful Home for the Incurable, Sniper, A Feeling of a Beard, The Martyrdom of Peter Ohey, Blessed Unrest: An Evening of Samuel Beckett. Erik has won awards for his work in the San Francisco productions All That Fall and Poor Superman. He’s currently completing post-production on the independent feature film Kincardine. He feels honored to be working with such talented people and to be a part of TYNA.

Alley Scott

Produced/performed Audience, Unveiling, Protest by Vaclav Havel at the late John Houseman Theater in 2005. Isaac will be starring Nov 5-6 in a new production, If I Fell.

Trav S.D.
(Machon, Guardian Angel) Writer and performer Trav S.D. is the author of the book No Applause, Just Throw Money: The Book That Made Vaudeville Famous (Faber & Faber, 2005). In addition to his long-running project the American Vaudeville Theater, his theaterworks include House of Trash (Published in Plays and Playwrights 2001 and a hit of the 2000 NYC Fringe Festival), Columbia, the Germ of the Ocean (Chashama, 2002), and Sea of Love (Soho Think Tank, 2002).

Medina Senghore
(Mrs. Pokorny, An Evening With Family) is thrilled to be a part of this production. Her most recent stage credits include the lead in Meeting in the Ladies' Room for The Afrikan Women's Repertory. Her NYC film credits include featured roles in the indie features Life's Passing Me By and One Last Thing, as well as lead roles in several student films. Medina studies at the Mary T. Boyer Studio where she will soon be entering her second year.

Bill Simmons
(Michael, Unveiling) is proud to make his New York debut with Cardinal Stage Company under the direction of Randy White. The executive director of Indianapolis-based InterAction Theater Incorporated, Bill has performed interactive theatre in prisons, universities, domestic violence shelters and homeless shelters for almost a decade. His stage credits number over 50 and include Julius Caesar at Indiana Repertory Theatre and A Number, Durang/Durang and The Action Against Sol Schumann at The Phoenix Theatre in Indianapolis.

Alyssa Simon*
(Vilma, Temptation; Pecharova, Mountain Hotel) Alyssa is thrilled to perform at the Brick again under the direction of Messrs. Gardner and Hill. Previous productions include Michael Gardner's In A Strange Room and Ian Hill's That's What We're Here For. Other roles include the Radio Starlet in Film is Evil: Radio Is Good, The First Lady in Symphony Of Rats (both adapted and directed by Mr. Hill) and Jane in Drs. Jane and Alexander.

Ken Simon
(Ken Masat, The Memo) Among other things in his career, Ken Simon has: shaved his chest to play William Shatner (I Am Star Trek); been crushed to death by a giant lobster claw fighting to save the Earth (Manifestations); stripped down to his underwear, shoes, socks and pole-danced (Classical Therapy); and fought off atomic zombies until bitten by his zombie-fied "wife" and shot (Ten Nights in a Bar-Room). And now a Vaclav Havel play of which to be proud.

Scott Simpson
(Vanek, Audience) Scott recently made his New York theatre debut in the role of Richard III at the Looking Glass Forum. Previous Shakespearean roles include Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Cassius in Julius Caesar, and Chorus in Henry V. Film credits include The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys, Ambushed, Timepiece, and Walker Payne, which premiered at this year's Tribeca Film Festival. TV appearances include Dawson’s Creek, and Surface.

David Skigen
(Mr. Pokorny, An Evening With Family) is thrilled to be a part of this festival. Favorite regional and NY roles include, Richard III, Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll, The Wild Duck, Hatful of Rain, RUR, The Heiress, Henry IV and many others. David is also a voice-over artist and can be currently heard on many national TV and radio spots. This is David's first FHB production and he would like to thank Glory, the cast, and crew!

Greg Skura (Bertram, Largo Desolato) Last seen in LOL at this year’s Midtown International Theatre Festival.  Favorite recent work: Foreign Affairs (Foolish Theatre), Iphigenia (Workshop Theater), Waiting for Godot (tangent theatre), the Atrainplays on Theatre Row. Anthony D. Stevenson
(Ivan, An Evening With Family) Born and raised in NYC, Mr. Stevenson studied at the Acting Studio, Inc. He has performed in plays such as Hustler, Wi, The Lynch Play, Julius Caesar, The Piano Lesson, and many others. He has also appeared on the "Chappell Show", and in films such as, "Gaining to Lose" and "Bloods vs. Wolves". He has two films to be released in theaters in the spring and summer of 2007, "Liar's Pendulum", (playing a hit man) and "Life Outside Of Pearl", (playing a car thief), along side Hollywood star Jimmy Jean Louis (Fat Girls, Tears of the Sun). Laura Stockton

(Second Sidney, Largo Desolato) Skyler’s work as an actor, mime, and dancer has been seen all over the country and in Europe. Off Broadway: Pete N Keeley, The Godfodder Workout. He has worked with such companies as the San Francisco Mime Troupe, Bread and Puppet, Sesame Street, and the American Mime Theatre. He also teaches circus arts, and is on faculty at Strasberg. Richard Toth*
(Stanek, Protest)During the 1990s, Richard was Artistic Director of Misery Loves Company, an international theatre company he co-founded in Prague, Czech Republic. While there, he directed or produced over 30 productions including the Eastern European premiere of Angels in America. He has appeared in the films Les Miserables, Dead Fire, Hostage Train and The Buttoners. TV appearances include Sex and the City, Law and Order and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Kathleen Turner
(The Conspirators) Kathleen Turner first achieved fame when cast as femme fatale Matty opposite William Hurt in Lawrence Kasdan's neo-noir thriller Body Heat (1981), which many consider one of the sexiest films (with Turner giving one of the sexiest performances) in the history of cinema. Some of her best known movies since then have been Romancing the Stone, Prizzi's Honor, Peggy Sue Got Married (for which she received an Oscar nomination), and The War of the Roses. Recently she received a Tony nomination for her role as Martha in the revival of Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf.

Art Wallace
(Drasar, Mountain Hotel) Art Wallace has been doing this and that play or short film or other thing ever since he moved to New York. He feels sure that this Havel Festival will put him over the top and jam him down the throats of entertainment consumers everywhere just like NASCAR.

Kristine Waters*
(Bea Plume, The Garden Party; Puppeteer, Mistake) New York turned me temporarily into an alien plant form, homeless person, sex worker and UWS sociopath, so landing in the absurd seems natural. Written and performed in 1-woman shows, classics, children’s theater. Training: (back in the day) American Conservatory Theater, Ellen Geer, Michael Shurtleff (more recently) Elizabeth Gamza (who ought to be known) and Black Nexxus. MA in Education. Performing arts, teaching artist. Very happy to participate in a festival recognizing the Vaclav Havel’s tremendous achievements.

Barry Weil
(Co-director/designer/performer, Motormorphosis) is Co-Artistic Director of Evolve Company. He has created puppets, masks and creatures for productions that include Hope & Anchor, Unauthorized Magic in Oz, Screaming Shrubbery, Uktena and Feast of the Dead. He has also inhabited the man-eating plant in so many productions of Little Shop of Horrors that he's starting to sprout leaves. In addition, Barry is the assistant director/theatre coordinator for Levels, Long Island's acclaimed cultural center for teenagers.

Jonathan Weirich

Liz Wisan
(Marie, A Butterfly on the Antenna) Recent NYC: The Other Half (Gene Frankel Underground), Stars In Her Eyes (Ars Nova; Brick $ellout Festival), and her two-woman show The Goods Are Odd, which she co-wrote (2006 NYC Fringe Festival; Upright Citizens Brigade). Other NYC: Dracula (DT|NY), Ula (Phil Bosakowski Theater), My Renaissance Faire Lady (Ontological), and with High Fidelity Theater, Tabula Rasa, The Architecture of Sight, and Pandora’s Box (dir. Henry Akona). Liz spent her fourth summer at Williamstown Theatre Festival where she’s performed in: Anything Goes, Cloud Tectonics, Twelfth Night, Blood on the Cat’s Neck, Under Milk Wood, and Havel’s The Unveiling.

Patrick Zeller*
(Albert, Redevelopment) is tickled to be working on the Havel Festival. Most recently he appeared as Antipholus of Syracuse in Comedy of Errors with NY Classical Theatre. Favorite stage credits include Dennis in This is Our Youth, Wyler in As Bees in Honey Drown, and Rosencrantz in R&G are Dead. Recent film and television credits include Kidnapped, End of the Spear, and No Reservations (Spring '07). Patrick holds a BFA in Acting from Emerson College. Maxwell Zener
(Ballas, The Memo) previously appeared with UTC61 in Linguish, Unauthorized Magic in Oz and all seven nights of the 24/7 Festival. Other New York credits include Jack in The Importance of Being Earnest and Bubnoff in The Lower Depths (Resonance Ensemble). Regionally he has appeared with such theatres as the Williamstown Theatre Festival and Signature Theatre (VA). He sends love and thanks to his beautiful wife Emy.
